The Northumberland Plate Meeting

The three day Northumberland Plate Festival is the North-East’s most loved racing and social occasion of the year. Known locally as the Pitmen’s Derby, the Northumberland Plate is one of the richest two mile handicap in Europe.

Newcastle Racecourse Hospitality really does have something for everyone during the Northumberland Plate Meeting. With first class facilities, fabulous cuisine and an atmosphere that is to say the least electric you really do have to experience the magic that is the Northumberland Plate.

Restaurant Facilities

The Grande Buffet Package is available in The Gosforth Park Suite & Park View Suite and both facilities are situated in the Premier Grandstand. With Panoramic views across the course and direct access to reserved seating in the Grandstand this is an excellent option for shared dining. Private tables of 10 available with smaller parties expected to share a table.

The prestigious Diamond Marquee is situated in a prime location overlooking the track, and offers the very best in luxury hospitality.

The Harchibald and Sergeant Cecil Pavilions are situated just past the winning post and both offer shared dining facilities in a non viewing Marquee. Both offer a fine dining experience whilst being just a stroll from the rails and the racing action. Private tables of 10 available with smaller parties expected to share a table.

The Tominator Private Marquees are situated just past the winning post and are available for a minimum of 30 guests. These fabulous marquees are purpose built for you comfort and enjoyment, offering great views of the racing action and are a very popular option for larger parties. It is advisable to book these Marquees as soon as possible as the are one of the first facilities to sell out for Ladies Day.
