Traditionally marking the start of the winter Jumps season, The Open meeting has grown into a three-day event featuring high-quality racing, trade stands in the Shopping Village, and a lively atmosphere in the grandstands, bars, and restaurants. This meeting hosts the first major Anglo-Irish clashes of the season and has also attracted competitors from France, Norway, and the Czech Republic.
The highlight of the event is the BetVictor Gold Cup, a 2m 4½f chase held on Saturday. With a prize of £110,000, it has become a significant early-season target for emerging chasers.
