The Ladbrokes Trophy is one of the most renowned races in the Jump racing calendar, serving as the highlight of Newbury’s winter season.
Since its debut in 1957, this 3m 2½f race has been the first major staying chase of the season, often indicating potential contenders for the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Grand National. Legendary winners include the great Arkle (1964 & ’65), as well as more recent champions like Denman (2007 and 2009) and Bobs Worth (2012), who all triumphed over Newbury’s challenging fences.
This exciting event, known for its vibrant atmosphere, takes place from Friday to Saturday.
