The two-day Scottish Grand National Festival is Scotland’s premier jumps meeting and hosts the Scottish equivalent of the Grand National.
Taking place shortly after the Randox Health Grand National, this 4m1f race often features many top performers from Aintree. Notably, only the legendary Red Rum has won both races in the same year, achieving this feat in 1974.
Over 20,000 spectators flock to Ayr for this thrilling event, where 28 of the nation’s best long-distance chasers compete on the Ayr track.
The race has been won by some of the most illustrious names in horse racing, both human and equine, drawing attendees from across the UK and Ireland.
