Greenwich Summer Sounds

Greenwich Summer Sounds

Greenwich Summer Sounds is a brand new outdoor music series taking place at the Old Royal Naval College, an extraordinary cultural destination in the heart of Maritime Greenwich in London. Over 4 nights this July, an incredible line up of artists will perform to 7000 visitors against the stunning backdrop of London’s skyline at
sunset. But this is more than just a concert – with a street food market and boutique bars on the lawn and communal feasts inside the stunning Painted Hall, guests can enjoy an incredible evening of live music, food and entertainment.

We are thrilled to be welcoming some of the biggest names in music to the historic venue location, including CHIC feat. Nile Rodgers for a 4th July exclusive London show, the iconic Tom Jones and the riotous Kaiser Chiefs and Black Eyed Peas.

This is not just a concert. Hospitality guests will dine beneath the extraordinary ceiling and wall decorations of the Painted Hall designed by Sir James Thornhill and completed in 1726 – one of the most spectacular Baroque interiors in Europe.

The Venue

From Tudor Palace to the centrepiece of Maritime Greenwich, the Old Royal Naval College is a UNESCO world heritage site with

500 years of rich history. Built on the site of Greenwich Palace, this extraordinary building, designed by esteemed architect Sir Christopher Wren, has seen life as both a Royal Hospital and a Royal Naval College.

From Henry VIII’s birthplace to Lord Nelson’s resting place, these walls contain a wealth of key historical moments. The iconic riverside estate boasts a rich history linking an incredible cast of monarchs and famous British figures including King Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth I, Lord Nelson and William Shakespeare.

The magnificent Baroque buildings and grounds are open to the public and are one of London’s most popular visitor attractions, welcoming over 1.2 million visitors every year. The exclusive Hospitality Packages for Greenwich Summer Sounds offer a unique opportunity to dine in the breath-taking surrounds of The Painted Hall after-hours.
