Set high on the undulating Sussex Downs, with stunning vistas of gently rolling countryside to the north and towards the sea and the Isle of Wight to the south, Goodwood Racecourse is considered by many to be simply the most beautiful racecourse in the world, and we agree!

The world famous five-day Qatar Goodwood Festival Meeting in early August, is the pinnacle of Goodwood’s Flat racing season. Known affectionately as ‘Glorious Goodwood’, for many this is the highlight of the summer and has been described by The Times as “One of the most beguiling of racing weeks”.

The meeting attracts the very best entries from the international world of horse racing and a crowd that’s both fashionable and knowledgeable.

The mood is relaxed, yet stylish, epitomised by Edward VII’s affectionate description of it as “A garden party with racing tacked on”.
