Hadrian’s Wall Path
Newcastle upon Tyne
After the huge success of the 2017 event, The Betfred British Masters will return to Close House, Newcastle upon Tyne, in 2020.
Former World Number One, Lee Westwood is also coming back as host following in the footsteps of Ian Poulter (2015), Luke Donald (2016), Justin Rose (2018) and Tommy Fleetwood (2019).
Ireland’s Paul Dunne chipped in on the last hole to produce a spectacular finish, putting him three shots clear of four-time Major Champion Rory McIlroy, when Close House previously hosted the British Masters in 2017.
Nearly 70,000 fans came out to support the event, which was the first European Tour tournament to visit the north east of England in 15 years. Fans will now have a much shorter wait to see some of the world’s leading golfers again, with the event taking place in the final stages of the qualification campaign for Europe’s 2020 Ryder Cup team.
All prices are per person +vat.
