British Masters 2017 -  Supported by Sky Sports

Close  House

28th September - 1st October 2017

For the first time since 2005 The European Tour is back in the North East.  The acclaimed British Masters supported by Sky Sports will be played at Close House, Newcastle where British golfing legend Lee Westwood will assume hosting duties.  In 2015 the prestigious event returned to the European Tour schedule for the first time in seven years.  The tournament first took place in 1946 and was played at a variety of venues.  After spending six years in the Midlands, first at the Forest of Arden, then at the Belfry, the tournament spent six years off the european Tour Calendar before returning to Woburn in 2015. In 2016 British Masters supported by Sky Sports at the Grove was the only European Tour event other than the BMW PGA Championship to be played in England.
